Pickerington Local School District, formerly Violet Township Schools (1905–1939),[2] is a public school district in Ohio. It serves most of the city of Pickerington, Ohio, as well as part of the city of Columbus, Reynoldsburg, Canal Winchester and unincorporated parts of Fairfield and Franklin Counties. As of 1979 it was the fastest growing school district in Ohio over a five year period.[3] It is highly rated by Niche.[4] In 2004 the district was rated excellent by the state of Ohio.[5]
