Early life and education[edit]
Pierre Gervois was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. He completed his studies in Philosophy of Art at Université Paris Nanterre in 1995 and received a degree in Political Science and Constitutional Law from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris in 1997.[2][10][1][11]
Career[edit]
In 1998, Gervois was appointed as a Foreign Expert by the Chinese Ministry of Industry (CCPIT) in Beijing.[11] He served as Chief of Staff to Laurent Fabius, the former French Prime Minister, in 1999.[11] Subsequently, in 2000, he became Head of Chinese affairs at ACFCI, negotiating with the Chinese government.[10]
In 2004, Gervois began working in the private sector, focusing on international investment in China's tourism and hospitality industry.[10]
In 2013, Gervois immigrated to the United States and pursued a career as a media entrepreneur.[12][10][1][13]
In 2017, he founded Legit Productions, a company specializing in documentary films promoting U.S. destinations and cultural heritage.[14][15][10][16][17][18][19]
In 2020, Gervois received the George Stoney Social Impact Award for "The Face of America" from Brooklyn Free Speech TV.[15][10][16][17]

Gervois has lectured on text-based conceptual art and crypto poetry at New York University.[3][19]
Artistic career[edit]
Pierre Gervois started his career as a visual artist in 1988, incorporating language into his work in 2000. From 1990 to 2021, he practiced traditional painting before transitioning to creating digital artworks minted on the blockchain.[6] Since 2019, his works reflect American society anxieties neutrally, avoiding judgment, emotion, or explicit viewpoints.[12][20][9][13]
Since 2021, Gervois has been represented by The Verse Verse Gallery.[12] His works are held in institutions like the Museum of Wild and Newfangled Art (NYC), the Tezos Foundation, and the NFT Museum of Newberry.
