"Pill Popper (Remix)" is a song recorded by French-Israeli artist and music producer Jeremie featuring Israeli-American rapper, comedian, YouTuber and parodist Rucka Rucka Ali. It was originally released in May 15 2018 by Jeremie on the music sharing website soundcloud, reaching more than 1 million streams.[1][2] The remix version was released by Red Shoes Records on September 19, 2021, and is the first ever released musical collaboration with another artist for the American parodist Rucka Rucka Ali.[3][4][5]
The music video for "Pill Popper (Remix)" shows animated versions of Rucka Rucka Ali and Jeremie, while driving a nondescript American town, encouraging different characters to consume pills all while being portrayed as pill producers in a laboratory.[6]
In an interview to the press, the French-Israeli rapper Jeremie was quoted revealing the duo's Collab social intentions behind the release of this song collaboration: "It was an honor and a true pleasure to collaborate with Rucka Rucka Ali on this project that we hope entertain people but also help raising awareness to the major issue of drug abuse in our society.”[7]
