Pine Telephone System
Pine Telephone System, Inc. is an American telecommunications[1] company with headquarters in Halfway[2] and Culver, Oregon. It provides High-speed Internet and landline communications.[3] The company operates in Baker County and Grant County, Oregon, with services available in Halfway, Richland, Oxbow, Brownlee, Granite, and Greenhorn.[1]
Pine Telephone System was founded in early 1900's in Halfway, Oregon, as a telephone cooperative.[4] In 2001, the company expand its telecommunication service by providing DSL Internet.[5] As of March 2014, 96% of Pine Telephone's customers have Broadband Internet.[5] The company services Pine Eagle Charter School, the town's local school, and the Halfway Library.[5]
