Pocket Casts is an iOS and Android app which downloads and plays podcasts.[1][2] A critically acclaimed podcast app,[3][4] it was named one of the best podcast apps for Android and iPhone by Time[5] and one of the best podcast apps by The Verge.[6]
In 2018, Pocket Casts was acquired by a collective group that includes NPR, WNYC Studios, WBEZ Chicago and This American Life.[7][8]
