Polarity Therapy is an energy Therapy or healing system which is based on the principle of energy movement used by human beings. The system was developed by Dr. Randolph Stone who was an Osteopathy , Chiropractic, and Naturopathy in 1947 as a form of alternative medicine. The system also includes some of the practices of Traditional Chinese medicine. American Polarity Therapy Association certifies a person interested in becoming a Polar therapist.

Clinical Practice

Polarity Therapy is based on the principle of energy movements being used on human beings.[1] There is no scientific evidence that this therapy heals any diseases or ailments.[2] The therapy relies on a combination of yogic exercises, nutritional food, meditation, hand healing[3] and other activities helping in aligning the balance of energy in the body.[4][5] The system was designed in 1948 by Dr. Randolph Stone.[6] The system combines the practices of some Traditional Chinese Medicine.[7][2]

Principles Followed

Polarity Therapy is broadly based on following principles:[1]

  • Practiced by men on men and women on women.
  • No metal wear is allowed during a session.
  • Person giving a session should clean hands with water before and after the session.
  • A glass of water should be given to the receiver after the session.

Diseases Covered

Polarity Therapy is used in case of following ailments:[8][5][6]

  • Physical pain.
  • Physical tiredness.
  • Drowsiness.
  • Vomiting sensations.
  • Medical treatments’ side effects.
