Polish student ID
The Polish student ID (Polish: Legitymacja studencka) is the document certifying that the person is attending a higher school (e.g., university) in Poland.
The student ID is issued upon matriculation and is valid until the completion of the studies, removal of the person from the list of students, or removal of student's rights. The ID is revalidated every semester.[1]
The student ID gives the right to discount fees for public transportation (trains and buses). [2]
The electronic student ID was introduced in 2006. [3] The electronic student ID carries out the functions of three traditional (paper) personal documents: the paper student ID, the library card, and resident's card (karta miejska).[4]
