Gameplay[edit]
Nation Creation[edit]
Once the user has signed up to Politics And War, the user is lead to create a name, upload a flag, create a nation name and a leader name and chooses a location anywhere in the world for the nation. The game has an alliance system where a user can create an alliance and other users may apply for any alliance of their choice. Alliance leaders can create taxes of which is automatically deducted from the members of the alliances' revenue. Both nations and alliances alike have rank systems, creating competition between alliance and nation leaders to get higher ranks.[3]
City Creation[edit]
After a nation is created, the nation leader has the opportunity to create cities for their nation. Money is required to purchase a new city and as city count increases, the amount of cash that is required increases. Until a user has 10 cities, they can be created one after another. After 10 cities, a user must wait 120 turns (10 days) until they can create a new city, this can be bypassed with "credits". When a city is created, a user can create "infrastructure" by inserting the infrastructure amount in to the box, at which will cost money. The more infrastructure wanted, the higher the price. As infrastructure increases the population of the city is increased and the "improvement" slots are increased. Improvement slots are the way to control the cities. Improvement slots can be take up by resource production, military units or military equipment production, police stations, hospitals, subways, shops, malls, banks and stadiums. Improvements such as oil production create pollution and your disease rate goes up, at which the nation leader will require hospitals or the population will decrease. [4]
Economic System[edit]
Politics And War has an in-depth economic system including but not limited to GDP simulation, revenue simulation and resource production. The resources that a user can produce are based on where the nation is based, producible resources include Steel, Bauxite, Food, Oil, Uranium, Aluminium and Munitions. Based on how many production slots per city a user has allotted to a specific resource, depends how much if the resource is generated. Once resources are created, there is a trade market where nation leaders can put offers to buy resources, and nation leaders put offers to sell resources, and a nation leader can choose how many of the selected resource they'd like to buy/sell and the transaction is completed instantly.[5]
Warring[edit]
Politics And War has a full war mechanic, allowing players to attack other players within a certain "nation range", only allowing nations to attack nations their size. When a nation wants to declare war, they can declare an attrition, ordinary or raid war. Attrition war will do damage to infrastructure, cities, land and military. A raid war will, if the warring nation wins the war, loot 10% of all the defensive nation's resources and cash. [6]

A user can create a "national project" which are special additions to a nation that cost money and resources. Projects that include [7]
