Pollard Windows is a window and door manufacturer. It is a private Canadian company based out of 300,000 square foot facility in Burlington, Ontario.[1] They currently have a partnership with HGTV star Scott McGillivray and supply the windows and doors for his projects.[2][3] They are one of the major window companies operating out of Ontario, Canada.[4]

History[edit]

Pollard Windows was cofounded in 1948 by father and son: Norman and Reginald Pollard.[5]They started the business in a garage on Maple Avenue in Burlington, Ontario with $250 in capital.[5][6] Today they have 250 employees over all locations.[7]

Pollard Windows Product Lines[edit]

Pollard Windows window and door product lines are: Advantage, Advantage Plus, and Liberty Collection.[8] Their products are energy star certified and in 2020 they got the "Promoter of the Year" award.[9]

Achievements[edit]

One of the cofounders, Reginald Pollard, was recognized in 2009 as a "Pioneer of the Industry" by the Canadian Manufacturers Association.[10] In 2011 he wrote an autobiography on how he had built his business over the years.[11] In 2012 he was awarded the Burlington Entrepreneur of the Year Award which honours people who have built a nationally recognized company, given back to the community and strengthened the image of the City of Burlington.[10] He also was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal given to Canadians who have made significant contributions to Canada.[12] In 2012 Pollard Windows had captured 15 percent of Ontario, Canada's window market share.[6]

Charitable Activities[edit]

They have partnered over the years with Habitat for Humanity Hamilton to provide windows and doors for affordable housing[13]
