Pompeii: The Legacy is an upcoming city builder developed by Croatian solo developer Zeljko Kos under the studio name Siscia Games.

Gameplay

Pompeii: The Legacy is a historical city-building game in the vein of the classic video game Caesar_III.[1] The game tasks players with building and managing a Roman city near Mount Vesuvius, balancing societal needs, resource collection, and urban planning. Players construct buildings ranging from residential housing and monumental structures to farms and production facilities, while managing societal classes such as slaves, plebeians and patricians.

The game emphasizes dynamic challenges, including natural disasters like ashfall, magma, and earthquakes, while incorporating generational gameplay where players manage family trees and develop talents to aid in city governance. Additional mechanics include trade and diplomacy with neighboring cities, a research system to unlock advancements, and RPG-inspired elements like political intrigue and alliances.[2]
