Pontefract Park

Pontefract Park is a public park in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, England. It is one of three large public parks in the town; the others being Valley Gardens and the grounds of Pontefract Castle. The park is situated within the running circle of Pontefract Racecourse.
Location
The park is situated off Park Lane to the north west of the town centre. The closest railway station is Pontefract Tanshelf.
Facilities
The park has a lake, wooded areas, a picnic area, trails, a children's playground, sports pitches and a golf course. Situated within the park is the Aspire@thepark leisure centre.[1]
Nature reserve
Pontefract Park North is a nature reserve featuring grassland, woodland, wetland and a lake.[2]
