Pooria Arab (born June 27, 1991 in Tehran),[1] known professionally as PutaK,[2] is a Persian rapper, singer, songwriter. He released his debut album, Nasakh, in 2006, and signed to Steps Records in 2007.[3][4][5][6][7]
Early life
Pooria Arab, PutaK, was born on July 27, 1991, in Tehran, Iran. After finishing school, he entered the Tehran University on the faculty of Computer Technologies. Though, in the last year of his studies, he decided to leave it and enter the military service.[8]
After finishing two months of educational military service in the city of “Tehran”, Pooria was transferred to the Tehran Information protection center in the weapon supply department. Five months later, Pouria left the army and, later, in 2012,[9] he received the official confirmation to his inability to enter the military service because of a nervous system disease.[10][11][12][13]
Career
2005–2006: First Album Asatid president “Hamid Manfi” first heard about Putak when “Manfi” finally met the 14-year-old artist,[14] he immediately decided he wanted to work with him. Putak released his first, NASAKH, in 2006.[15] The album included 13 tracks.[16] In 2007, Putak signed to Tohid Records and released two single tracks.[17][2][18]

He released his second album “13O’Clock” in 2007.[20] After this album, in 2008, Putak released the album “God is Dead” and signed to AJDAR RECORDS.[21][22][23]
Suicide Album
He achieved the record of the biggest number of tracks within one year in Persian rap, releasing 3 albums in a year with 38 tracks,[24] Putak is one of the most active Persian rappers,[25] he released “Changar, Vol. 1 – Vol. 2 – Vol. 3”,[26] Putak released political albums “Suicide” including 18 tracks, and all his songs and poetry are mostly devoted to the political situation in Iran and aimed at the expression of discontent with the current regime.[27][28][29]
Personal life
Pouria's father decided to send him abroad to receive higher education in order to protect his son from dangers connected to the political topics and general discontent of the current regime in Iran. The artist presented his first album, named "Nasaskh", produced by "Manfi", to Iran's underground rap society.[30] In 2013, Pouria left Iran and settled down in Ukraine to study the Russian language and, at the same time,[31] to create and issue numerous albums, such as "Changar", "Khodkoshi”, "Khodkoshi, Vol. 2”, [32] "Tavvalod bad az khodkoshi”. "8/8", "313”, ", "Alfbt", alongside with the series of singles, e.g. "Taghdim Be Khanoomha", "Irarji", "My Rap", and so on, all of these songs had political context.[33] The artist was expelled from the Saling university and changed his occupation to international economics.[34] Four years later, the artist had received his bachelor's degree from the University of "Krok", (Kiev, Ukraine). Pooria Arab met a girl named Julia and they got married after one year of their acquaintance.[35] He gained Ukrainian citizenship one year later[36][37]
