Porter Airlines Flight 2691 was a scheduled commercial passenger flight from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport in Canada to Sault Ste. Marie Airport by Porter Airlines.[1] On April 17, 2023, the Dash 8-400 aircraft operating the service suffered a runway excursion.[1][2]

The aircraft involved in the incident was a Dash 8-400 with the registration C-GLQB, delivered on August 29, 2006, and is about 17 years old.[1]

There were a total of 72 occupants: 68 passengers and 4 crew members.[3] No injuries were reported.[3]
Incident
According to Flightradar24, Porter Airlines Flight 2691 departed from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport at 9:05 PM (1:05 UTC) and landed at Sault Ste. Marie Airport at 10:20 PM (2:20 UTC) after a flight time of one hour and one minute on April 17, 2023.[4] The aircraft overran the end of runway 12 and ended up in a grassy area.[1][5] Passengers were taken to a terminal with airport limousines.[5]
