PotGuide

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

PotGuide is an online resource founded in 2013 by Jeremy Bamford[1] to help cannabis consumers find dispensaries, delivery services, and cannabis brands. The site also provides educational and news content related to cannabis and cannabis culture.

History

PotGuide was founded in Denver in 2013, at the start of the recreational cannabis legalization movement.[2]

PotGuide acquired cannabis strain website Kindreviews.com in October 2015.[3]

The original website Colorado PotGuide was launched in September 2013.[2] In June 2015, Colorado PotGuide grew into PotGuide to cover a wider range of states as legalization progressed.[2]

In August 2021, Fire & Flower and Hifyre announced a proposed acquisition of PotGuide for $8.5 million.[4][5][6]

Recognitions

  • PotGuide was an early proponent of the canna-tourism industry.[7][8][2]
  • Time magazine included Colorado PotGuide in its guide to marijuana tourism in America the following year.[9]
  • They were also among the first, alongside Leafly, to refuse to advertise unlicensed cannabis retailers.[10]
