Pragyesh Singh (born 6 October 1976) is a film director, film producer, and screenwriter. He is well known for his short film Chhoti Si Guzaarish.[1][2] The film was selected for Cannes Film Festival.[3]
In 2017 he made his debut as a film director with short film Chhoti Si Guzaarish which was selected in international film festivals and won 13 awards.[4][5] Chhoti Si Guzaarish has been selected in short film corner in Cannes Film Festival.[6] Chhoti Si Guzaarish scripted by Pragyesh and starring Shishir Sharma as leads with Smita Jaykar and Inder Kumar.
Pragyesh is also the director and producer of a documentary named Heritage of Thrall, which is based on Hand Rickshaw pullers in Kolkata during and after the Independence of India.[7] The film is based on the poem of the former prime minister of India Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji.[8] Pragyesh is also the founder of TNV Certification and TNV Films.[9]
Pragyesh is married to Savita Singh and they have two children.[5]
