Prakash Chandra is an Indian film actor who has appeared in Tamil language films. After working as an associate director with Prabhu Solomon, he made his breakthrough as an actor with a leading role in Rasu Madhuravan's Goripalayam (2010).

Career[edit]

Prakash began his career as an associate director with Prabhu Solomon. He later became an actor, and appeared in two leading roles in consecutive films directed by Rasu Madhuravan. His first release was Goripalayam (2010), where he portrayed a disobedient youngster, and then he later appeared in Muthukku Muthaaga (2011). In both films, he appeared as one of the four main lead actors.[1][2]

After a break, Prakash Chandra returned as the lead actor and producer of Saavi (2018) with his new studio, the Sparkland Films.[3] The film, shot entirely in Madurai, featured him in the lead role opposite Sunu Lakshmi, while Satish Chakravarthy composed the film's music.[4] To reuse the title of the old name, Prakash sought permission from actor Sathyaraj before production started and then also requested the actor to be the chief guest at the film's audio release function.[5][6][7]
