Pramata is a private technology company focused on commercial relationship operations software and services. Pramata converts contractual documentation and billing system data into a commercial relationship system of record, deployed to users through cloud-based software applications.

Company history[edit]

Founded in 2005, the company is headquartered in Brisbane, California, with offices in Kansas City, Missouri and Bangalore, India, and more than 300 employees worldwide. In 2015, Pramata announced $10M in Series A funding from venture capital firms Volition Capital and Argosy Capital.[1]

Companies using Pramata solutions include Allergan, CenturyLink, Comcast Business, FICO, NCR, Micro Focus, Novelis and Vertafore. In 2017, the company was awarded a silver for enterprise product of the year from Best in Biz Awards.[2]

Founder and CEO Praful Saklani was recognized in 2018 by Comparably.com as a Best CEO for Women in Small/Mid-sized Companies and a Best CEO for Diversity in Small/Mid-sized Companies.[3]

Products[edit]

Pramata uses a cloud-based software platform along with a human-in-the-loop AI managed service to extract and normalize complex terms from commercial contracts and documentation, and map that information to corresponding customer data from a company’s billing, customer relationship management (CRM) and other systems. The output is a current state view of commercial relationships, which provides insight for sales, finance and legal teams to pinpoint and address areas of revenue leakage.

The Pramata technology stack consists of four core elements: Digitization-as-a-Service, Commercial Relationship System of Record, Revenue Leakage Solutions, and User Experience. Pramata’s Revenue Leakage Solutions address four specific areas of the customer lifecycle—Billing Accuracy, Account Research & Renegotiation, Deal & Order Acceleration and Entitlement & Pricing Reconciliation.
