Pranav Joshi

Pranav Joshi is an Indian chef.[1], television personality, restaurateur, food consultant, entrepreneur and columnist. Joshi has hosted shows on Zee TV, ETV Gujarati and Food Food among others and is also the brand ambassador for Fortune Foods.

Early Life[edit]

Joshi was born in April 1977 to a Gujarati family in Ahmedabad in India. After a diploma course in his native city, he moved to Australia in 1999 to pursue a degree in hospitality management from the Australian School of Tourism and Hotel Management in Perth. He went on to study further at the West Coast Institute of Management in Perth. He also has a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery from Bentley, South Metropolitan TAFE.

Career[edit]

In 2002, he started working at various cafés and hotels in Australia and later opened his own restaurant with a friend.

After returning to India in 2007, he began working with Ahura Group of Restaurants. In 2008, he hosted his first TV show Rasoi on ETV Gujarati (now Colors Gujarati). He also appeared on TV shows aired on channels Food Food and Zee Khana Khazana[2]

As an ambassador of Fortune Foods, Joshi has developed food products and shows for radio, TV and YouTube[3]. He also appears on the show Har Ghar Mai Super Chef on ‘India Food Network’.

He also opened “The Cooking Academy” in 2013 in Ahmedabad.

Joshi is also a food consultant with restaurants, cafés and resorts. Some of these ventures include Skyz, Wildwinds Resorts, Qwiches, Suryam Repose, Madhuriya by Rajwadu, The other side, Temptt and Café Rebus.
