Prateek Bhardwaj (born 15 January 1989) is an Indian entrepreneur, inventor and founder of Joint Employment Test,[1] an autonomous recruitment board run under Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.[2] He is CEO of Leaderspro Learning Pvt Limited, India’s first profitable education startup, founded in 2012.[3][4][5]

Early life

After studying both Biology and Math, Prateek completed his engineering in electronics & communication from Technocrats Institute of Technology, Bhopal in 2009.[6] Prateek is the son of deputy director, Ayush food and drugs administration Dr P.C. Sharma, and his mother Dr Anju Sharma is a professor in Pt. Khushilal Sharma Government Ayurveda Medical College, Bhopal.[7]

Career

In 2012, he founded Leaderspro Learning and is serving as the Chief Executive Officer.[8][9] He is the founder of Joint Employment Test (JET Exam),[1] a nationwide competitive exam for government, semi-government, PSU and Private jobs in India. In 2016, JET Lekhpal exam pulled in 33,000 applications in only three days. When Tata Nano was in a crisis, Prateek helped Ratan Tata in redesigning the new Tata Nano Nxt with new features like space for luggage, automatic gears, and more stylish interiors.[10] He joined Experimental Aircraft Association, one of the few adopters of EAA in India, and Aeronautical Society of India, and worked on the design and development of two experimental aircraft. His aviation portfolio was selected by MIT USA.[4] He is one of the only Indians who volunteered for United Nations, FIFA World Cup 2014 held in Rio de Janeiro, Pan American Games 2015 held in Toronto and the world's largest military air show Royal International Air Tattoo.[11][12][13]

Controversy

In April 2016, Bhardwaj was held in remand by the crime branch in connection with an online forgery case which later proved to be false. Counsel for the defence EA Qureshi said, "Prateek's company is genuine and his work is genuine. No one has complained against him."[7][3]
