User:RMCD bot/subject notice In 2022, an unnamed ten year old girl in Columbus, Ohio, United States, became pregnant after she was allegedly raped by an adult male.[1] The girl traveled to Indiana to get an abortion, because Ohio law on abortion does not provide an exception for minor children who become pregnant because of rape.[2]
Kristi Noem said that "I don't believe a tragic situation should be perpetuated by another tragedy", implying that the girl should not get the abortion.[3]
Dave Yost, Attorney General of Ohio, doubted the incident, but rejoiced at the arrest for the rape. [4]
