Prep Edu is a Vietnamese education technology company founded in 2021.[1][2] It was founded in 2021 by Phạm Quang Tú.[3]
History
In 2021, Prep Edu launched as an online platform for language learning and test preparation and introduced IELTS preparation courses.[4] A year later, Prep Edu introduced PREP AI Virtual Speaking Room and launched TOEIC Listening & Reading preparation programs.
In 2023, Prep Edu launched PREP AI Virtual Writing Room and added the Interactive Video feature. They introduced TOEIC Speaking & Writing preparation programs and launched Prep HSK (for Chinese proficiency test preparation) and PrepTalk - Communication and Business English in 2024.[5]
In 2025, Prep Edu presented the Exam Platform for businesses and educational institutions. They also expanded operations to Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, and South Korea.[6]
Funding
In 2022, Prep Edu announced a US$1 million investment from Touchstone Partners.[7] In 2023, Prep Edu announced a US$1 million investment from Cercano Management and East Ventures.[8] In 2024, Prep Edu announced a US$7 million Series A round involving Cercano Management and Northstar Ventures.[9]
