Maria Cristina of Savoy-Aosta (Maria Cristina Giusta Elena Giovanna; born 12 September 1933-18 November 2023)[1][2] is an Italian princess, and a member of the House of Savoy-Aosta by birth.
Family[edit]
Maria Cristina is the second and youngest daughter of Amedeo, 3rd Duke of Aosta, Italian Viceroy and Governor-General of Italian East Africa during World War II, and his wife Princess Anne d'Orléans.[1][2]
Marriage and issue[edit]
Maria Cristina married Prince Casimir of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, son of Prince Gabriel of Bourbon-Two Sicilies and his second wife, Princess Cecylia Lubomirska, on 29 January 1967 in Jacarezinho, Brazil.[1][2] Maria Cristina and Casimir have four children:[1][2]
- Prince Luís Alfonso of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (born 28 November 1970 in Rio de Janeiro) married in 1998, Christina Apovian (born 20 May 1969 in São Paulo). They have divorced. They have one daughter. He remarried Maria da Glória Ganem Rubião and had three children:
- Princess Anna Sofia of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (born 9 April 1999 in São Paulo)
- Princess Maria Isabel of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (2012)
- Princess Maria Fernanda of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (2014)
- Prince Pedro Afonso of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (2014)
- Princess Anna Cecilia of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (born 24 December 1971 in São Paulo) married on 18 August 2005, Count Rodolphe de Vincens de Causans. They have two children:
