Priya Mali is a Composer and Playback Singer who has worked on Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. She was introduced to the Tamil Cinema as a playback singer by Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja in the film Pyaar Prema Kaadhal for the song "Surprise Me" and "Miss You Papa". She has been introduced into Telugu Cinema by Music director Sharreth in the film Naa Nuvve for the song "Naa Nuvve". After beginning her career as a playback singer, recently she has been introduced as Music Director in an upcoming movie "Markendayanum Magalir Kallooriyum" directed by Libra "Ravindar Chandrasekaran".[1]

Priya Mali was born in the town of Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu and grown up in Bangalore. She has lived almost 15 years in Bangalore. During this time in Bangalore, she has learnt Hindustani, Keyboard and Piano. She had the opportunity to get mentored by Kannada Legendary Music Director Shri Hamsalekha, with whom she has nourished her talents in Keyboard, composing and playback singing. Seeing her talent, he has advised her parents to pursue her career in Music and blessed her. While staying in Bangalore, she has started giving her vocals for few Tamil and Kannada devotional music albums and jingles. Since, she has to travel quite often to Chennai, her parents have decided to shift her base to Chennai.
During the initial months of her return to Chennai, She got the opportunity to work as an assistant to Music director Vijay Narayanan for the film Palli Paruvathile, which has provided the opportunity to interact with many musicians and learnt background scoring. She has also sung backing vocals and duet patho song in that film. To nurture her talent further, she has completed her Keyboard programming course in Music Lounge and simultaneously pursuing her Piano theoretical course.
As a playback singer, she has sung many songs for Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja in Genius, ""Neengalum oorum" and Sindhubaadh, "Unnalathan". Also, she has rendered her voice to Bhavatharini, for the film "Mayiliragu pola naan" song in "Maayanadhi", Harris Jeyaraj for the film "Dev", sharing with Legend "SPB" Sir. Also, worked with Music Director Anirudh Ravichandar for lending her vocals in Superstar Rajnikanth's Darbar and as Music conductor in Master for Telugu and Kannada songs.
In 2019, she has released her first musical album Thuli Thee composed, programmed and sung by her. Also, she has performed as an artist in this album, which got released under Yuvan Shankar Raja music label "U1 Records" and released by "Divo" music company. This album has got her many appreciation in the music industry.[2]
In 2020, she has been nominated for upcoming female vocalist by Radio Mirchi Awards (South) for the movie Karuthukalai Pathivu Sei, song "Chinnanchiru Kilye".
The biggest break in her career happened in 2020, when she met Libra Producer Ravindar Chandrasekar, who is nurturing many young aspiring talents in South Indian Cinema. Priya Mali got the opportunity to interact with him and done multiple music albums and series for composing and singing in his YouTube channel FATMAN FACTS. She has composed the title song "FAT U MAN U" song, which is widely acclaimed by many and then, she has composed and sung "Teacher's Day song". Also, her full fledged composition has been explored in "Fatman Kidnap" skid, in which, she has done the background score also. After getting impressed with her work, Libra "Ravindar" had given the great opportunity for composing in his directional flick movie "Markendayanum Magalir Kallooriyum" as a debut Composer, which is planned to hit the theatres by end of 2021.[3]
