Priyanka Meher
Priyanka Meher (born 18 October 1996) is a Indian singer and songwriter, who predominantly works in garhwali and kumaoni songs.[1][2][3][4]
She was born on 18 October 1996 in a middle-class family in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.[5][6] Priyanka Meher belongs to Tehri Garhwal, but her family shifted to Dehradun, but she was born and brought up in Dehradun. She participated in "Dil Hai Hindustani" contest[1] and her brother participated in Indian Idol and finished with top 15.[1]

Early life and music career
Priyanka Meher grew up in her village icholi. She completed her early education in Dehradun. One day her singing video went viral, then she started uploading video on YouTube. Later she worked in many garhwali songs.[8][4][9] She got inspired from her brother .Her brother is also a singe[9] r . After that,she sung some old garhwali,kumaoni,Jaunsari song. She also wrote and sung some old garhwali song and uploaded to her YouTube channel.[5][3][5] Her first song was “Motoru Ku Siandu Huyu Hotelu ku khanu”.[10][5][11][12] She sung many songs like"Sinau ka baras" "Genda Phool","Ghume de" etc.[11][6][13][12][10] The rapper Badshah collaborated with Priyanka Meher and her best friend rongapazz to make pahadi version of his song "Genda Phool".[2][14]
