In addition to the courses offered at Product Gym, Product Gym also offers mentorship and dedicated career support programs to aid students in their transition after the course has ended.[3]
History[edit]
Product Gym was founded by Technical Recruiter Richard Chen, and Product Manager Cody Chang. It opened its first location in Midtown, New York City and now has a campus located in San Francisco as well. The ideology behind the creation of Product Gym was to help aspiring Product Managers understand how to generate Product Manager job offers by understanding what hiring teams were looking for at each company.[4]
The company's co-founder Richard Chen worked as a technical recruiter for CyberCoders and Workbridge Associates, and co-founder Cody Chang is currently a product manager at Vimeo. Over the years, Product Gym has accumulated multiple Product Management Instructors, Interview Coaches, and Subject Matter Experts, who are all current Senior Product Managers, among other job positions within the Product field.[5]
Product Gym originally began as a career coaching service helping those in the New York City Metro area before branching out into the California area. Beginning late 2019 - early 2020, Product Gym extended services to international members.[6]

Product Gym offered in-person and online courses before COVID-19. Product Gym is continuing to operate during COVID-19 fully online, with all courses moved to remote learning.
