Virginia Dike is a professor and was once the head of the Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Nigeria before her retirement. She was born and brought up in the United States in Indianapolis, Indiana, and acquired a Bachlelors Degree (BA) in History from Harvard University and has a Bachelors Degree (BA) in History from Harvard University and Masters Degree (MA and Msc) in Education and in Library Science respectfully, all from Columbia University. She is an American by birth and also a Nigerian by marriage and she is blessed with five children.
