Professor Layton and the New World of Steam[lower-alpha 1] is a puzzle game developed by Level-5 for the Nintendo Switch. Announced during a Nintendo Direct on February 8th, 2023, it is the eighth main entry in the Professor Layton series.

Story[edit]

A year after the events of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, the ending of which depicted Luke Triton leaving to the United States, Luke contacts Professor Layton about a concerning turn of events that has happened in his new home, the fictional city of Steam Bison, believing the two of them to be the only ones who can solve the mystery, and asks Layton to join him on another adventure.[1]
