Professor Shonku: Characters
Trilokeshwar Shonku (Bengali: ত্রিলোকেশ্বর শঙ্কু) is a science fictional character in Bengali literature created by great writer Satyajit Ray. The life of this selfless Bengali scientist is full of adventure. Shonku first appeared in Bengali literature in 1971 with the story "Byomjatrir Diary".[1] One of his inventions, "Mangorange Fruit," earned him a doctorate from the Swedish Academy of Sciences.[1]
This world-famous scientist is a polyglot who knows 69 languages.[1] He invented a lot of tools, medicines, weapons, etc., and participated in many scientific conferences around the globe.[1] There are 38 Professor Shonku adventures in total.[1]
