Proforce Limited

Proforce Limited is a Nigerian automotive and arms manufacturer. It is Nigeria's pioneer indigenous company dedicated to the manufacturing of armored vehicles, armored patrol boats, combat helmets and vests as well as other defense equipment.[1]

History[edit]

Proforce was established in 2008 by Ade Ogundeyin.[2] Proforce Limited is ISO 9001:2015 certified. The company is responsible for manufacturing armaments and steel products. Proforce is situated in a 40,000 square meters factory in Ode Remo, Ogun State, where it carries out the production of a wide array of defense products. This state-of-the-art facility includes production sites, staff residences, a research and development center, administrative offices, maintenance and repair units, as well as medical clinics. Additionally, the company maintains a 25,000 square meters facility located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria along with a corporate office in Abuja.[2]

In 2021, the Nigerian Army through its investment arm, Nigerian Army Welfare Limited by Guarantee NAWLG, acquired a 15% shareholding of Proforce Limited. Over the past decade, Proforce has provided defense solutions to the Nigeria Police Force, Military and civilian markets.[3] In August 2022, Proforce signed an MOU with the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) on the development of space technology.[4]

The company's products ARE currently utilized across multiple countries, including the Republic of Chad, Rwanda, Senegal, Niger, Ghana, and others. Among these, the PF ARA 2 or Thunder MRAP, a 19-ton Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle designed to offer optimal protection against high-level threats.[5][6]
