Programs and Features[edit]

Rent-a-Teacher[edit]

The "Rent-a-Teacher" initiative started in September 10th 2016. These programs involve pairing teachers with students enrolled to hold online sessions.[9][10] These courses are free or pay-to-enroll. [9]

Course Marketplace[edit]

The Course Marketplace is a platform for teachers to list and advertise courses individually or under an institution. [11] This is targeted towards in-person and online courses. This is paired with the Course Management Software that allows teachers to manage courses online or offline free of cost. The Marketplace is coupled with the, now referred to, "PJ Academy" that ties in usage for hosting the courses from third-party tutors. [12] This feature was launched on February 10th 2018 and was announced just after a few setbacks from the previous launch date of February 1st 2018.[13] The Course Marketplace mostly features the ability to share courses across popular social media sites and the choices of online or offline enrollments.[14]

Course Management Software[edit]

The Course Management Software is a platform for teachers to create and manage courses. [15] General capabilities include enrollments, payments, and posting assignments, quizzes [16]. This service was started in August 2017 [17].

International Internships[edit]

The company has an ongoing international internship program allowing students [13] to travel between countries as teacher-trainees [7]. The internships are broken into 2 stages. First stage interns are given 3 months to adapt to a new environment while teaching. The second stage involves a fine-tuned teaching method practice with a stipend. [7] The official announcement of international internships started in June 2018 and was the center of a huge controversy involving teachers in California [18].
