Publish & Print is a Welsh, independent publishing company founded in 2014 by writer Dave Lewis. Originally called Ponty Press, and setup in 2009 to self publish his own work, he renamed the company Publish & Print when he started to offer his services to other writers in 2014. The company began by producing paperbacks and e-books for Welsh writers that had been overlooked by the traditional publishing houses in Wales but soon expanded to help authors from around the globe get into print. The company specializes in poetry, thrillers and historical fiction but has also helped authors in the romance, sci-fi, music and non-fiction genres.
Publish & Print has published over 35 books by a number of authors, including Terry Breverton, Sally Spedding[1], Harry Calvert[2] and Hurbert Tsarko.[3]
The company uses Print On Demand technologies to help authors get self published on Lulu or Amazon. While Publish & Print does charge fees for authors, it claims not to be a vanity press, on the grounds that the author keeps 100% ownership of the book, the author keeps 100% of the royalties and that the author can buy as many or as few copies of their book as they wish. Publish & Print provides free marketing help and its rates are also very much lower than those of its competitors.
