QRG Health city is 450 bedded Multi specialty tertiary care hospital situated in the heart of the city at Sector 16 Faridabad spread over an area of 5 acres. The hospital was founded by Late Qimat Rai Gupta, the then Managing Director of Havells.[1] and now is under the ownership of his son Anil Rai Gupta. The hospital has all the major superspecialities including Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Gynaecology, Pediatrics, Internal medicine, Orthopedics, Surgery along with all other medical and surgical branches. The hospital has some of the renowned doctors of the city including Dr. Sanjeev Kapoor, Dr Jitender Kumar, Dr. Rakesh Rai Sapra among others. The hospital has been amongst the best emerging hospital in North India by a survey held by ehealth network.[2] The hospital was ready in 2012 but was actually started in 2016 due to controversies and legal lawsuit from multiple Government agencies.

Controversies[edit]

The present land was initially allotted to Vivekanand Ashrama Society for development of a residential school and a social development centre for Dalit students in 1978 for a lease of 99 years for a meagre sum of about Rs 1.2 lakh. However, it was later purchased by Qimat Rai Gupta under the promoter group of havells so a writ petition was filed at Punjab and Haryana High Court for irregularities of land use for construction of hospital instead of school for dalit students.[3]
