Quarto Trancado[edit]

Locked Room Sessions (also known as Quarto Trancado , LRS ) is an intermedia art platform established in 2017. It lies on an international community, being its aim to "bring together artists working in different mediums as closer with their audience and the experience of art itself as means of expression."

Working with artists and spaces that are not yet visible to wide audiences.

It was started by Romanian Artist Andreea Cristina and Portuguese filmmaker Miguel d'Almeida.

History[edit]

In July 2017 it was announced there would be a gig at SYnergia Guesthouse by local artists The Shadow and Moon together with exhibitions by João Alberto and Miguel d'Almeida and an installation by KAPA. The event was the first of it's kind joining together international and local young artists.

Two videos were published on youtube gathering several hundred views overnight.

In November it was time for the second event, this time in a new location, Dans L'Atelier, an artist collective studio from the 1800's. and in December a third event was held there.

In February 2018 Quarto Trancado hosted an Open Week in more than 15 spaces arround Braga, Portugal.Across the 5 days of the open Week there were pop-up galleries, independent movie screenings, live concerts, installations and experimental art.
