Queen of Time is the thirteenth studio album by Finnish heavy metal band Amorphis, that is set to be released worldwide on 18 May 2018 through Nuclear Blast. It was officially announced on 22 February 2018 through the band's record label, Nuclear Blast[2], which was subsequeintly covered by several metal themed news websites, such as Loudwire[3], and Metal Injection[4]. The album was produced by Jens Bogren, who also worked on their previous album, Under the Red Cloud.[5] This album marks the studio return of their first bassist, Olli-Pekka Laine, since their 1999 album Tuonela.[5]
On 5 April 2018, through the official Nuclear Blast Youtube page, the band published a trailer for the album in which they discuss working with Jens Borgen, the return of Olli-Pekka Laine, and the album's themes and general structure.[5]
