Queritel
Queritel (/ˈkwiritɛl/) is a business intelligence platform that connects businesses and entrepreneurs to a global population of vetted/rated freelance researchers and legal service providers.[1] Queritel.com connects businesses and entrepreneurs to pools of freelance market/industry experts and legal service providers who have access to hyperlocal information/data or the skills they need to make business decisions. Queritel also allows clients to scale freelance research teams to physically conduct surveys (in streets, communities, commercial districts, cities etc.) and have those insights uploaded in real time.[2]
Orgin[edit]
Queritel was co-founded in 2016 by Shani Bennett and Kevonne Martin while at the University of the West Indies (UWI), as Law and Marketing Majors. The company was originally named Research Aid Plus and targeted students with research assignments as its customer segment. In February 2018 the company released its second version of its web-based platform to serve its new target market; businesses and entrepreneurs.[3]
Operation[edit]
Queritel Business[edit]
Queritel business allows customers to have market, legal and industry queries answered by local experts or researchers. Customers send out tasks and receive bids from pre-screened providers. According to Bennett, "what sometimes happens is that our contractors actually bid for jobs and the client may opt for one or the other, depending on that researcher's rating."[4] By providing this small data, companies are best poised to take advantage of business opportunities.
Queritel Legal[edit]
Queritel is seen as a disruptive innovator in the market for legal services. Queritel's push to use machine learning and computer technology to make specialist legal services more affordable and more accessible have been noted by various stakeholders. Queritel through its legal technology allows customers to have critical legal services done by local or overseas legal professionals who are specialist in their respective fields with a success rate of 90% or more. In some cases, law professors and lecturers recommend top-tier students to serve as paralegals on Queritel.com. All legal service providers are subjected to rigorous assessments and vetting.[5]
Queritel Field Insights[edit]
Queritel Field Insights allows customers to scale freelance research teams of up 100 to physically survey streets, communities, cities and commercial districts (anywhere in the world) and have those insights uploaded in real time. Queritel is reducing the data and legal risk businesses face when starting, investing or expanding. Reliance on the wrong information, seriously damages business prospects. To get accurate information, it’s important to use authoritative data from trusted sources.[6]
