RöFo is a German[1] peer-reviewed medical journal.[2] Its title is an abbreviation[2] of its full formal title Fortschritte auf dem Gebiete der Röntgenstrahlen und der bildgebenden Verfahren (Advances in the Field of X-rays and Medical Imaging).[1] It has used other titles as well, such as to indicate medical imaging beyond merely x-ray technology: Fortschritte auf dem Gebiete der Röntgenstrahlen und der Nuklearmedizin (in English: Advances in the Field of X-rays and Nuclear Medicine).[1]
