[Rube] (also known as Rübe or "Rube Songs") is a 19 year old rock musician from Columbus, Ohio. She is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Her music is known for its catchy melodies with an edge, along with her satirical and clever references in her lyrics.

Life, Vibes, and Good Times[edit]

Rübe started performing at a young age. She was originally involved in school and community theater from elementary school through the beginning of high school. She attended the Broadway Artist Intensive Program in West Palm Beach, Florida. She quit theater the following year and began focusing on her music. She began teaching guitar and ukulele to elementary schoolers and continued to do so throughout high school. She also created and ran a popular open mic night at a local coffee shop, Grandview Grind, until she graduated. She also performed at the Shadowbox Live theater and the Wild Goose Creative in Columbus, Ohio with her original band members, Trevor and James.

She began releasing music in 2018 after spending the summer in Los Angeles with a group called, SOCAPA where she wrote and recorded her first two released songs, "Pretty Boys" and "Overflowed". Since then, she has released more music including, "Call Me When You Have The Time"(2020) "Broken Record"(2019) and "Mall Songs"(2019). She is currently in the process of recording her first album, title yet to be announced.

Rübe is also a student at UCLA pursuing her Bachelor's degree as a Music History and Industry major. During her time at UCLA, she has performed at the Fowler Museum and at many house shows in Westwood with her drummer, Sam.
