Raajeev (25 July 1945 – 28 December 1993) was an Indian film and stage actor, with the majority of his work in Gujarati cinema. His career began with a Hindi movie, 'My Friend', and was followed by the majority of his work in Gujarati cinema. As an actor in films like Kashi no Dikro (1979), Mena Gurjari (1975) Raajeev was established as a leading protagonist in social and family dramas in Gujarati films.
Early Life
Born to Gujarati parents in Vadodara who shifted to Delhi soon after his birth, Raajeev attended school in Delhi. He attended CN Arts Vidyalaya for Fine Arts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Initial Career
Beginning with the Indian Government's Song and Drama Division, Raajeev toured with the Song and Drama Division troupe across India, performing socially relevant dramas based on government-initiated scripts. With the aim of being in movies, he moved to Mumbai to try his luck there, getting a chance to work for a Hindi movie, 'My Friend'[1].
Film and Theatre Career
