Rachel Brem, MD (née Frydman; born September 17, 1952), is a diagnostic radiologist, and advocate for the early detection of breast cancer.[1]
Early Life and Education[edit]
Brem was born in Israel on September 17, 1952, to Lea Frydman and Mechel Frydman.
Brem earned her medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1976.[2]
Career[edit]
Brem is the director of the GW Mobile Mammography Program and the Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder of the Brem Foundation, where she focuses on early detection of breast cancer and self-advocacy.[3]
In 2006, Brem and a few of her patients founded The Brem Foundation to Defeat Breast Cancer. The Brem Foundation itself advocates for education about breast cancer risk factors, screening options, personalized screening, and self advocacy.[1]
