Early life
Rachele De Corso was born on 19 February 1999 and raised in the Tuscany countryside, in the small village of Ambra. Her mother is the owner of a housewares shop, and her father works in the local landfill. She attended the local middle school, and graduated from scientific high school in 2018. She is currently attending Università per Stranieri di Siena, to take a degree in Linguistic Mediation.
She started to take music lessons at the age of 6, taking piano lessons. She studied piano for 5 years before switching to guitar. She also played sax in elementary and middle school. She started to take singing lessons at the age of 16.
Even if she already played piano, her passion for music got stronger at the age of 8, after she watched the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock. Being a shy kid, she identified herself as Mitchie Torres and watching the movie she understood that she could use music to express herself. Watching the movie she also developed a passion for guitar, after she saw Joe Jonas playing the song Gotta Find You. She decided to get into songwriting after she heard the song This Is Me in the movie.
She started writing songs at the age of 8.
Musical Influences
Her main musical influences are Halsey and Taylor Swift, especially for the lyrics. She gets different influences from different artists, from Demi Lovato to Little Mix, from Yungblud to Thirty Seconds of Mars. She says Billie Eilish and Harry Styles had a great influence on her new conception of doing music. She also gets a lot of influence from classical music, from artists such as Beethoven, Mozart and Bach.
She says she's trying to combine pop/rock music with orchestral instruments.
