Rafiqul Islam Khan is a Bangladeshi politician. He is the assistant secretary general of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.[1] He is the central president of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Ulama Division.[2] He is the former central president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir.[3][4]
Early life
Rafiqul Islam Khan was born in Ullapara Upazila, Sirajganj District, Bangladesh. He studied at the University of Rajshahi.
Political life
Rafiqul Islam Khan is the assistant secretary general of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. Previously, he was the Nayeb-e-Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami's Dhaka city unit. He served as the central president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir during his student life.[3][4] He has been a victim of political persecution and has served time in prison.[5]
He is a candidate for the post of Member of Parliament from Sirajganj-4, nominated by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.[6][7]
