Rahel Blocher (born 18 October 1976) is a Swiss billionaire businesswoman, who owns shares in the family-run company Ems-Chemie.[2]

Rahel Blocher is the youngest of four children of Swiss industrialist and politician Christoph Blocher. She is an accountant who studied economics at the University of St. Gallen.[3][4] After this she started working at the Clariant before moving to Elma Electronic.[5] In June 2008 Blocher and her father founded Robinvest, a consulting firm.[5] As of 2022, Blocher is the managing director of Robinvest.[3]

In 2004 her father was elected to the Federal Council of the Swiss Government and passed his shares of Ems-Chemie on to children.[citation needed] In 2011, Moritz Suter transferred his shares of the Basler Zeitung newspaper to Blocher, shares that she later sold.[6]

Prior to 2021, Blocher was not politically active.[3] In October 2021, she publicly stood against the COVID-19 law in Switzerland that, according to Blocher, would imply a "hidden obligation to vaccinate".[7]

Blocher made the 2022 Forbes Billionaires List, with an estimated wealth of US$7.6 billion and occupied the 313th position.[2]
