Rahoul Dutt, previously known as Rahul Dutta[1], is an Indian film and television actor. He was born on 5th March 1976 in Mumbai, India. Dutt is best known for his roles in the films Catsticks and Flesh.
Early Life
Dutt was born in Mumbai and, after finishing 10th grade, his family moved to Kolkata. He completed his graduation from Calcutta University in Arts and later completed a marketing management degree from Annamalai University.
Career
After working in various corporate sectors and advertising, Dutt finally relocated to Mumbai in 2014 to pursue acting in Bollywood. That very year, he starred in the famous theatre musical Jesus Christ Superstar, directed by Alyque Padamsee, and did around 40 shows in St. Andrew's and NCPA simultaneously under Ace productions. He is also a trained actor from Jeff Goldberg Studio (method acting) between 2014-15.
After that, he was cast as Pablo[2] in Ronny Sen's directorial Cat Sticks[2], where he played an addict. The film premiered at Slamdance film festival, Park City, Utah, in 2019 and won the honorary jury award. After travelling to all the major festivals across the globe, Cat Sticks[2] had its Indian premiere at KIFF, Kolkata, India.
He also played as Mainak[3] in Bhalobasar Shohor - Shorshe Ilish[3] which released on Zee 5, 2019. Thereafter, he played one of the main antagonists as Simon[4] in Flesh[5] directed by Danish Aslam, produced by Siddarth Anand. It was released in August 2020 on Eros NOW platform.
Apart from this, he also starred in the Panasonic digital ad 'Meet the future' series and winkies ad. Further, he starred in Somlata Acharyya Chowdhury's music video 'Rawkteo Ache Noon'.
