Rahul Basak [1] is a public speaker who has appeared twice on the renowned platform of TEDx. He is the co-founder and CEO of "Amar Canvas" and chief editor of "My Canvas Talk". He is also a social entrepreneur, documentary photographer [2], and upcoming author.

Early life[edit]

Basak was born at Gangarampur, South Dinajpur in West Bengal. He went to study for Bachelor of Technology from Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata and followed by Masters of Engineering in Computer Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology in 2017. In the very next year, he dropped out of his master's degree and started his entrepreneurship journey with his friend Amit Kumar Mahishya Das.[3]

As a public speaker[edit]

He appeared on the various renowned platforms nationally and internationally, including TEDx (2-Times) and Josh Talks stage. Various institutions like IIT Dhanbad, IIT-Varanasi, National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, Kalyani Government Engineering College, St Xavier's College Kolkata, KIIT, The Heritage Group of Institutes,Institute of Engineering & Management, Techno India Group, national television channels like Doordarshan (Bangla), radio frequencies like Ishq FM and Radio One (India) him for delivering talks as well he judged many events including 5-Times for International Hult Prize (On Campus).[4]

His venture My Canvas Talk [5] is the first-ever (Stage Based) talk platform which is originated from Kolkata, West Bengal.[6]

Entrepreneurship career[edit]

Basak's visit to Hong Kong Film Festival accelerated his journey as an Entrepreneur. [7]
