Railpower GGS2000D
The Railpower GGS2000D was created from an EMD GP9 and was built in New Westminster, BC, Canada at SRY.
As a green goat, only one was ever made and has been in storage for a few years now. The unit was tested on the UP and was never accepted by the UP, although it is a prototype and it still is at New Westminster as of 2016. The engine of the GGS2000D is a 90 HP Caterpillar genset which was converted to a 130 HP diesel because it wasn't enough power. It was named Emerald after the founder's daughter. The unit was used by converting a WVRD 2890 GP9 formerly Southern Pacific. The unit was tested during 2001–2006 and now is in storage as of 2016.
