Career[edit]

Dhanda and Sat-Bhambra met in 1991 when both of them were actors and were performing together in a play written by Nina Wadia. In 1998, the duo launched “Bollywood Nights.” It was their first Bollywood song compilation album that earned recognition from Vogue and Tatler. “Love Bollywood” was their second compilation and it consists of 40 Bollywood songs. The album was launched in collaboration with EMI records, BBC Worldwide, and BBC Asian Network. Their Bollywood song compilations include classics, contemporary, dance beats, and ballads which they handpick out of hundreds of options. Raj and Pablo also host a Bollywood night every month at the Cobden Club. The pair also hosted “Bollywood Showdown” on B4U.[8][9]

In 2011, the duo launched their own line of Bollywood-inspired t-shirts under the name “Bollywood Jollygood.” For their first range of Urban wear they partnered with Hox, a British-Indian fashion designer. The shirts by their clothing merchandise featured hand-painted artworks by poster painters in Mumbai.[8]

The duo quit BBC Asian Network in May 2020 and joined BritAsia TV with their own podcast.[10][11]
