Rajesh Chaplot[edit]
Rajesh Chaplot (born on 18th July 1965) is an Indian Entrepreneur living in Kampala,Uganda.He is currently the CEO and Director of Various corporate entities in Printing,Packaging,IT,Metal & Aluminum Fabrication .He has been recently recognized by the Govt of India by awarding him with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman. The Pravasi Bharatiya Samman (Overseas Indian Honour/Award) is an award constituted by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, Government of India in conjunction with the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (Non-Resident Indian Day), to honour exceptional and meritorious contribution in their chosen field/profession. The award is given by the President of India.
Early life[edit]
Rajesh Chaplot was born on 18th july 1965 in Udaipur,Rajasthan,India to Late Shri Sampatlal Chaplot and Smt. Shyama Devi Chaplot .He has three brothers-Dr. Chander Chaplot,Mr. Dilip Chaplot,Mr. Prakash Chaplot .Mr Rajesh Chaplot was brought up in Udaipur.He did his schooling from St. Paul school, Udaipur, India and cleared his CA qualification from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India,Delhi,India.

Starting from 1998 till date, he has been working as the CEO/Director of Various corporate in Uganda/Congo in Printing,Packaging,IT and Aluminum fabrication industry.Some of the companies include Graphics systems Uganda,Fabrication systems,Uganda,Crown & Packaging,Fuson Africa,Came Techedge services (Congo),Manglam Africa (Uganda)

- Spearheaded the celebration of the first Diwali celebration at State House with the President of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni which is being continued every year since the year 2012
- Spearheaded the launch of the first ever Indian content magazine in the National Newspaper of Uganda, New Vision ( Indi Vision)
- Formed & launched the Indian Business Forum Uganda in the year 2014
- Vice chairperson of the organizing committee for the visit of Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi to Uganda in June 2018
- Formed and launched the chapter of the institute of chartered accountants of India in Uganda and was the first chairman (Year 2014)
- Judge for Miss India Worldwide (2010) at Durban, South Africa
- Judge for Miss Uganda in Kampala, Uganda (2013)
- .Part of the team for the India Africa Summit (2008) at New Delhi with the President of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

Personal life[edit]
Rajesh Chaplot is married to Mrs Prathibha Chaplot (Home Maker). They have two daughters-Krati Chaplot (Programme Administrator - London Business School, UK (LBS)) and Savi Chaplot (Actuarial Analyst in Oman Insurance Company, Dubai). His son in law is Mr Aditya Chordia,serving as the Vice President of J P Morgan,London.Rajesh Chaplot lives with his family in Kampala,Uganda.
