Tv9 Rajinikanth (full name: Rajinikanth Vellalacheruvu[1]) (born 9 January 1975) is an Indian journalist and television news anchor. He is the Executive Editor of the news channel TV9.
Vallelacheruvu Rajinikanth is the news Executive editor of TV9, the most watched news channel run in Telugu in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. On TV9, he anchored Big News Big Debate With Rajinikanth, a live debate,[2] that at 8 pm (IST) weekdays on the channel. He is responsible for the content that is telecast on TV9 and is also involved in the daily planning of the content including special programs, special stories, debates, campaigns and editorial content..[3] Rajinikanth leads debates with senior most politicians like Chief ministers and cabinet ministers, heads of political parties and important personalities. Rajinikanth did anchoring thousands of episodes. His first programme open form successfully completed 1200 episodes. After he did 7 pm (IST) news tonight and 9 pm (IST) live show. Currently he is doing BIGNEWS BIG DEBATE at 8pm Monday to Friday in TV9.
Early life and education[edit]
Rajinikanth Vallelacheruvu was born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh on 9 January 1975[4]). Achieved Master of Communication and Journalism from Potti Sriramulu Telugu University in the year 2009. Bachelor’s degree from Nagarjuna University in the year 1996.
Career[edit]
He started as correspondent in Vaartha Telugu daily and later joined SITI-Cable channel as bureau chief. Posted which He started his career in TV9 as a senior correspondent and now he has grown to the level of Executive editor. He is responsible for the total content and he is considered to be the face of the channel. He is very strong in political analysis and social issues. Rajinikanth leads debates with senior most politicians like Chief minister and cabinet ministers, heads of political parties and important personalities. Rajinikanth did anchoring in various debates and discussions which are aired in TV9. His first programme open form successfully completed 1200 episodes. After he did 7pm news tonight and 9pm live show. Currently he is doing BIGNEWS BIG DEBATE at 8pm Monday to Friday in tv9. He is master in election ground reporting and counting presentation. He received the prestigious National Television Award in the category of the best news presenter for the year 2009. TV9 group has channels also in Kannada, Gujarati and Marathi. The English version of TV9 channel is `News 9’ and it is the most watched news channel in Karnataka.

Started his career in the field of journalism by taking up a job in the print media. Worked as a reporter in Vaartha daily for a period of 3 years and was looking after the district related social issues as well as the District Collector. Many of his news articles and stories have raised many eyebrows as most of them were people centric unresolved issues.

Handling the tasks of scheduling staff activities as well as evaluating the performance of staff. Providing feedback with regards to news content, scripts and news stories as and when required. Presenting the Prime Time News bulletin that focuses on current issue with indepth analysis.
