Rajjat Mukharjee (born 1 December 1971) is an Indian politician. He is the head of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in West Bengal. He was district vice president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Siliguri organizing district from 2018-2020. Also he was State Council Member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), West Bengal from 2020-2022. Mukherjee is a self entrepreneur too. He runs a leading fire engineering company, mainly Torrential systems pvt limited.[1][2]

Early life and education

Mukherjee was born in Katihar,Bihar, India. He also grownups there and started his school  with Ramkrishna Mission ashram, Katihar, Bihar. Then he continuing with A.C College of Commerce, Jalpiguri, West Bengal.

Personal life

Mukherjee comes from a notable Bengali Hindu family. He is married to Joya Bhaduri Mukherjee. He is proud father of two children. One son and a daughter.

Political Career

Rajat Bhardwaj Mukherjee started his political career as an ordinary member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at Katihar, Bihar in the year 1998, then he shifted to West Bengal and take himself involve fully in the politics. He served as the Spokesperson for the BJP's Siliguri Organizational District, focusing on regional political issues and helping expand the party's outreach in the area.

From 2017 to 2019, Mukherjee served as the Convener of the BJP's State Club Relations Cell. In this role, he worked to promote football as a means of youth empowerment, collaborating with major football clubs such as Mohun Bagan FC and East Bengal FC. His initiatives aimed at fostering football talent in rural areas and strengthening cultural ties between the communities.

Since 2019, Mukherjee has been the head of the Foreign Affairs Department of the BJP in West Bengal. In this capacity, he has focused on fostering international relations and has been vocal in advocating for the rights of Bangladeshi Hindus. His efforts to highlight the challenges faced by the Bangladeshi Hindu community under the interim government of Bangladesh. He has addressed the challenges faced by the Bangladeshi Hindu community under the interim government of Bangladesh.[3][4][5][6]
