Early Life and Education

Dr. Rakesh Kumar Paswan डॉ राकेश कुमार पासवान(About this soundRaakesh Kumaar Paasvaan ) is a native of Pratapgarh city with a very rural background. His primary education was done in a government school in Pratapgarh and later in Allahabad. From a very young age, he had a natural tendency toward human care and wanted to become a medical doctor. He was selected for MBBS in his very first attempt and completed his MBBS in 2010 from Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College, Kanpur. Later, he completed his MD in neuropsychiatry from a renowned psychiatric centre in India, Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra. After that, he worked for 3 years as an assistant professor in Farrukhabad. He was acclaimed there for his teaching skills and methodology. He used to educate MBBS, MD students, and other pharmaceutical staff about various types of mental illness and their cures. Later, he worked for 2 years as an associate professor in Rama Medical College, Kanpur where he incorporated a 'patient-centric approach' to the treatment of mental illness, which was very successful and published in international journals (International journal of recent trends in Science and Technology). Presently, he is working at Motilal Nehru divisional Hospital (Kalvin)[2][3] as a consultant neuropsychiatrist. He is also providing various services like community outreach, etc., to patients.[4][5][6][7]

Social Work

Dr. Rakesh Kumar Paswan has a passion for helping the poor and underprivileged so that they can meet their basic living needs. He often organizes free medical camps for everyone who otherwise cannot afford medical care. He has successfully organized many free medical camps in Allahabad (now Prayagraj) and Pratapgarh District.
